PRIVACY POLICY

The Habitat and Wildlife Conservation Society (HAWCS) is an independent non profit organisation /registered UK charity which raises awareness and funds and supports other organisations who are active in the field of wildlife and habitat conservation worldwide. HAWCS will act for change by organising peaceful non violent protests to gain change and solutions for sustainable habitat preservation and animal conservation. HAWCS will raise conservation awareness through workshops and events. HAWCS will raise funds through donations, gift aid, auctions, events and collections.
The purpose of this privacy policy is to tell you what kind of information we may collect from you and how we collect it, how we may use that information, and whether we will disclose it to anyone else. It also explains how we store the information you provide to us, how you may access or correct it, and how you can contact us.
HAWCS is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and that personal information that it collects from you will be used in accordance with this privacy statement. HAWCS respects and upholds your rights to privacy protection under the UK Data protection Act.

HAWCS does not store a data base of members or subscribers.
HAWCS may collect personal information from you in a number of ways through volunteering ,or make donations to HAWCS through PAYPAL , and when you take part in an event or action with HAWCS , such as a petition or protest, and through social media. By engaging with us you consent to the collection and use of your personal information, we may contact you to ask you to donate to or get involved in some other action in connection with our campaign.
Occasionally we may also collect personal information from publicly available sources such as the telephone directory, and occasionally from third party sources such as Change.org.
When we collect personal information from you, we expect you will only provide information that is accurate, complete and up to date. We will only collect personal information by lawful and fair means, and not in an unreasonable or intrusive way.

The personal information that we collect from you is used via paypal to process your donations and online purchases and to provide you with receipts. We may also contact you to inform you of how your gifts are helping us to reach our goals.
